With its mountains, pine forests and fertile valleys, Turkey hosts a good number of wild animals that are in the agenda of the savvy hunters of the world. Among the major animals that are hunted are;

 

Bezoar Ibex

Living in a large habitat on Taurus Mountains of southern Turkey, Bezoar Ibex is a legend among the hunters of the world. Its slender and long horns, the striped fur make this animal a beloved creature.

 

Wild Boar (Sus Scrof)

Both stalking and driven wild boar hunting is a breathtakingly exciting experience that would be overwhelmingly pleasing for hunters due to high numbers of wild boars living in Turkey. Wild boar hunting can very well be combined with a family vacation, golfing and yachting.

 

Konya Sheep (Ovis Gmelinii Konya)

The only habitat for this very special animal is the open plains of Konya, located in Central Turkey. 

 

Anatolian Red Deer (Cervus Elaphus)

Having a long existing presence going as early as the Bronze Age, Anatolian Red Deer has been a popular animal for the peoples of Asia Minor. It prominently lives in an area covering the east of Aegean, north of Mediterranean and west of Central Turkey although it has been seen also in the western part of the Black Sea Mountains.

 

Anatolian Chamois (Rupricapra Ruprcabra)

Living on Kackar Mountains in northeastern Turkey, Anatolian Chamois loves residing at peaks over 6000 ft. During summer months, you can find them closer to snow fields where they can graze on herbs and grass while in winter they prefer to penetrate into forests of highlands.
